Polyurethane binders used for giving recycled composites a second life
In today’s world, ground tire, cork and foam are seen more as a valuable raw material rather than waste to be disposed of in landfills helping to create a sustainable future.
To help give these composites a “second life" as a recycled product, we have developed Stobicoll® R products, a broad range of binder solutions that are particularly well suited for processing rubber, cork and foam granulate. They are resistant to aging and weathering and have excellent long-term durability and make a considerable contribution to efficient production with quick demold times.
These recyclable materials are used to make various products, including, but not limited to:
- Rubber mats
- Safety tiles
- Landscape edging
- Bumper plates (barbell weights)
- Leveling pads for RVs
- Rubber crumb and EPDM flooring for weight rooms, workout facilities and locker rooms
- Traffic safety devices such as construction cone base weights
- Support blocks for mounting equipment such as solar panels and HVAC equipment on rooftops

Stobicoll® R 359
One component, non-pigmented high-performance binder used in the production of high-density bar bell weights, bumper plates and ADA ramps.
Stobicoll® R 382
One-component colored adhesive to bond rubber. Standard colors are red, brown, green, black, and gray.
Stobicoll® R 401
One-component flexible colored binder designed to bond rubber. Standard colors are red, brown, green, black, and gray.
Stobicoll® R 402
One-component non pigmented multi-purpose binder suitable for the recycled rubber industry.
Stobicoll® R 1113
One-component non pigmented binder designed to bond rubber.
Stobicoll® R 1126
One component pigmented binder for heat cured processes. Standard colors are red, brown, green and silver/gray.
Stobicoll® R 1133
One component prepolymer used in the bonding of cork and rubber crumb.
Stobicoll® R 1137
One component, ambient-cured prepolymer used in the production of large logs for sport and leisure flooring (rubber mats).
Stobicoll® R 1142
One-component non pigmented binder suitable for heat cured processes.

One-component prepolymer used in the manufacture of bonded foam carpet cushion.
